Welcome to the brand-new redesign of Gaming Redirect, LLC. This has been a long time coming—many years, actually—since we last had any kind of update. There have also been requests for specific functions that we were not able to incorporate into the old billing software.
We have completed a full import of the old billing system, including tickets, invoices, and transactions. There are still a few things to iron out, and those will be addressed over the next few days.
There are so many new functions and additions that I’m not even sure where to start. First off, we have scrapped the old FTP software and replaced it with something integrated into our custom stack. With that in mind, here are some of the changes.
Account Changes
- Service package plans are now created automatically. You no longer have to wait for support to create them.
- You can now see your current usage, which updates automatically with new file uploads or every 5 minutes.
- Your service package plan will now automatically disable any new storage usage if you go over your plan limit. You will then have the option to delete files to recover space or upgrade your plan. We have had people abuse this in the past.
- You can now upgrade your package plan, which will automatically adjust your space after the invoice is paid.
- You can now downgrade your package plan, which will automatically adjust your space. If your current usage exceeds the amount allocated by the plan, you will not be able to downgrade until you remove files. Additionally, you will be credited the prorated difference for the term.
- You can now reset your FTP password yourself.
- You cannot change your FTP username or FastDL URL.
- Invoices no longer incur a late fee if they are not paid on time. Please note, however, that accounts are now automatically suspended 24 hours after the due date.
New Additions
- PoolPay is now a new feature that you can create from your account dashboard. It allows you to share a link with your clan or community so they can donate funds (credits) to your account. These credits can then be used to automatically pay your invoices, similar to how Game Servers ClanPay works.
- We now have a blog where we will post updates, outage notices, and any changes happening around the business.
- You can now reply to email tickets and create tickets via email. You no longer need to log in and reply to tickets manually.
Billing merchants
Nothing has changed with the billing merchants we have ie. Stripe and PayPal. However PayPal will now display a new business name as the authorized charge. The Stripe (Credit Cards) system has no changes and will show the business name as normal.
Customer Accounts
Your account is still intact, and all of your files were transferred to the new system. Redirect URL's have not changed. There are some things that have changed like the FTP Port and your FTP Password. You can retrieve this information by logging into your account and viewing your service details page.
Lastly
Just about everything is now automated. Unless you need specific support, most tasks can be handled without assistance. More updates are coming soon, and please let us know if you notice any issues.
